Amanda’s intrigue of the local plants of Northern California lead her to studying in 2005 with Jane Bothwell at Dandelion Herbal center in Arcata, Ca. After a class trip to Gaudelupe Canyon, Amanda fell in love with the plant life in the southwest and decided to further her knowledge of the Southwest flora and attended the Southwest School of Botanical Medicine in 2006 to study with the late grandfather of western herbalism, Michael Moore.
After completion in September of 2006, she decided to head to the Mendocino Coast to the Living Light Culinary Institute. To educate herself on the benefits of raw food. She finished the Associate Chef & Instructor Training in late 2006.
In 2007 Amanda attended Jane Bothwells Festival of Herbs Visiting Teachers Series. Teachers includedChristopher hobbs, Rosemary Gladstar, Ryan Drum and Mathew Wood.
In 2008 Amanda started studying Ayurveda at the Northwest Institute of Ayurveda with Traci Webb C.A.S, Karta Purkh Singh Khalsa, DN-C, R.H. and Dr. Helen Thomas. In 2012 she completed her internship, but will forever be a student of Ayurveda.
