Amy Rouse is a certified clinical herbalist and the owner of Backyard Remedies: Herbal and Nutritional Support. She began apprenticing in her home state of North Carolina over 10 years ago with Appalachian herbalist Will Endres of Will’s Wild Herbs.
Since then she has traveled the country studying healing medicines of many landscapes including the Sonoran Desert with the late master herbalist Michael Moore, the Rocky Mountains with Paul Bergner, and is now wildcrafting and growing medicinal in Northern California.
Amy handcrafts a line of botanical extracts, flower essences and salves using the highest quality ingredients and certified organic alcohol and carrier oils. Amy believes that food is our best medicine and the plants are sacred teachers.
